These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of theplatecollective.com and your relationship with The Plate Collective LLC ("The Plate Collective," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website, submitting a lift for verification, or purchasing from our store, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use our website or services.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our website, submit a lift, or make a purchase. By using our services you represent that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time for any reason.
To be eligible to purchase from The Plate Collective, you must submit a video of a qualifying barbell lift, squat, deadlift, bench press, snatch, or clean and jerk, through our official submission form at theplatecollective.com/submit-a-lift. Submissions must meet the requirements outlined in our Verification Standards, available at theplatecollective.com/verification-standards.
All submission decisions are made at the sole and absolute discretion of The Plate Collective. We reserve the right to approve or reject any submission for any reason, including but not limited to technical violations, video quality, incomplete footage, or failure to meet our verification standards. Verification decisions are final and non-appealable.
By submitting a lift for verification, you represent that the video is an authentic, unedited recording of a lift performed by you personally, without assistance, and in compliance with our Verification Standards. Submitting a fraudulent, altered, or misrepresented video is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate disqualification, cancellation of any associated purchase, and prohibition from future submissions.
Athletes whose submissions are rejected may resubmit after addressing the reason for rejection. Resubmission does not guarantee approval.
Upon approval of a verified lift, you will receive a unique, single-use discount code and a purchase link via email. The following terms apply to all purchase links and discount codes:
Each verified lift is assigned a unique serial number at the time of approval. The following terms apply to all serial numbers:
Every piece produced by The Plate Collective is made to order and is one-of-one. The barbell graphic on each piece reflects the exact lift type and weight of the verified athlete to whom it was issued. No two pieces are identical.
All prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time. If a pricing error is identified after your order is placed, we will contact you before processing.
Because each piece is made to order, availability is not limited by inventory. However we reserve the right to discontinue any product or colorway at any time.
By placing an order you represent that all information provided is accurate and complete. Payment is processed securely through Stripe via Squarespace Commerce. We do not store your payment card information. Orders are not confirmed until payment is successfully processed.
We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion, including orders placed using fraudulently obtained discount codes or orders that appear to violate these Terms. In the event of cancellation, any payment collected will be refunded.
Orders are produced and fulfilled after payment is confirmed. Production and shipping timelines will be communicated at the time of purchase. The Plate Collective is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, or circumstances outside our control. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the shipping carrier.
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds. Exchanges are available only in the circumstances outlined in our Exchange Policy at theplatecollective.com/exchange-policy. By purchasing from The Plate Collective you acknowledge and agree to our Exchange Policy in full.
By submitting a video and consenting to social sharing at the time of submission, you grant The Plate Collective a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and share your submitted content, including your lift video, lift details, and serial number, on our website, social media channels, and marketing materials. You represent that you own or have the right to grant this license and that your content does not infringe on any third party's rights.
You may withdraw consent for future use of your content at any time by contacting us at info@theplatecollective.com. Withdrawal of consent does not affect any use that occurred prior to your request.
All content on theplatecollective.com, including but not limited to the The Plate Collective name and logo, barbell graphic artwork, website design, copy, and photography, is the intellectual property of The Plate Collective LLC and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and trade dress laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any of our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

Our website and services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that our website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy or completeness of any content on our website.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Plate Collective LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our website or services, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or personal injury. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Plate Collective LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of fraudulent or infringing content.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
